Read the Bible to Your Kids: It’s Good for Their Souls

The importance of reading your Bible cannot be overstated. God ensured by His Spirit that the writers of scripture would make much of reading, knowing, memorizing and meditating on the word of God.

“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them to your children…” (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

“…but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.” (Psalm 1:2)

The video is a work of John Piper and Desiring God. Its purpose is to inspire you to read your Bible and let your children see and hear you do it. Teach them early that the Bible is the greatest book with the greatest lessons in the world, and God wrote it.
